Attorney Daniel B. Ryan
Attorney Ryan is a graduate of Holy Cross College (1963) and the University of Connecticut School of Law (1969). Since being admitted to the bar in 1969, he has represented numerous parties and minor children in divorce and family matters in the judicial districts of Middlesex, Hartford and New Haven. He is a former president of the Middlesex County Bar Association and is a member of the Hartford County Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association (family law section) and the American Bar Association.
Attorney Ryan, a former officer in the United States Navy who obtained the rank of lieutenant commander, is also a graduate of the U.S. School of Naval Justice and was the legal officer aboard an aircraft carrier and an admiral’s aide at the Pentagon. He is also a graduate of the Naval War College. He has been active in his community serving on many boards and was knighted by Pope John Paul II in 1989 as a Knight of St. Gregory.
Attorney Ryan is a trained mediator and the founder of Divorce Meditation, LLC. He is a member of the Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation. Attorney Ryan has served as a special master in divorce and custody matters for the Hartford and Middlesex Superior Courts.
Dan Ryan is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and all federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He served for over 10 years as corporation counsel for the city of Middletown and also has been an adjunct professor of law at Middlesex Community College for over 20 years.
